Cost of Tryouts for 2025 - $100

Tryout Information

  • When registering through the Hockey Canada/Spordle site please ensure all information is accurate. The email address provided through the registration process is the email address coaches will be using to communicate with players/parents during the tryouts.
  • During the registration process it is important that parents DO NOT create a second profile for their child. Doing this will only complicate the registration process. If you have issues during this process please contact our registrar for assistance: [email protected]
  • Once registered for tryouts parents must send payment via e-transfer to:

[email protected]

*When sending the e-transfer please include PLAYERS NAME and DOB so the organization can track payments.

  • With the open borders being implemented this season, the OHF has removed the minimum skate requirements for players. Your tryout fee of $100 ONLY guarantees a player one (1) skate. Further, once a player is registered and paid NO REFUNDS will be issued by the Hamilton Steel Hockey Club.

  • Upon arriving at the rink players must report to the registration desk prior to proceeding to a dressing room. Players at U10 and U11 will be provided with a tryout jersey from the registration desk. Players aged U12-U18 are asked to bring a dark and light colour jersey to tryouts.

  • After each tryout the team's coach will be in communication with players/parents regarding the next step: signing an offer of commitment to the team / attending the next tryout / being released by the Hamilton Steel Hockey Club.
